IND vs SA LIVE: Hardik Pandya’s BIG CLAIM before joining Indian team in Delhi, ‘I was never dropped, took a break myself’

IND vs SA: Why did Hardik Pandya take a break after the T20 World Cup 2021?

  • Pandya is currently the toast of the nation due to his heroic all-round performance and his leadership qualities, which led GT to victory in the debut IPL season
  • Things though were not rosy for the GT skipper after the T20 World Cup 2021. He was not selected for the T20I series against New Zealand and West Indies.
  • A lot of people believed Pandya was dropped from the team due to his lackluster performance in the T20 World Cup.
  • The all-rounder has now revealed that he was not dropped and rather he took a break to re-assess his goals.
  • Pandya has come back stronger and has now delivered with bat, ball, and leadership abilities for GT.

“Lot of people don’t know that I took off; It was my decision. A lot of misconception is that I was dropped. You get dropped when you are available. Thankful to the BCCI as they allowed me to take long breaks and did not even force me to come back,” said Hardik in a video shared by Gujarat Titans on Twitter.
