Dinesh Karthik who came to the crease when India were 81/4 in 12.5 overs, had a big task in hand. Although Hardik Pandya was batting well, he needed a partner to go for the onslaught. Karthik became the perfect batter.

Dinesh Karthik received a recall from Team India after three years. It was his performances in RCB colours that forced selectors to include him even though it seemed Karthik had taken unannounced retirement. But everyone was wrong.
Karthik scored 330 runs in 16 matches for RCB with a strike rate of 183.33. It was his performances that rescued RCB from difficult situations. On Friday, he did it once again in India colours.
