India got off to a fine start but then were in deep trouble having Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick succession. Rishabh Pant walked into bat at No.4 and trouble almost instantaneously with a run-out chance. During the 14th over of the innings, Pant tucked the ball to the left of mid-wicket and walked down the pitch as Kl Rahul doubled down for a quick single.
However, Pant had no intention of completing the run and both batters ran to the same end. Fortunately for India, South Africans missed that chance with Maharaj failing to collect the ball giving India a reprieve, as Rahul ran back and returned to his crease. The Indian captain was furious and had a word with Pant before going about their business. Watch the video here:
