“It is difficult bowling to Miller. He is in such good form. Main toh chahunga South Africa unhe drop kar de par wo aisa karenge nahi (I would want South Africa to drop him but they would not do so. David Miller smashed a 31-ball 64 including four boundaries and five sixes to help South Africa chase 211.

The veteran pacer was also David Miller’s victim as he went for 22 runs in the 18th over. Before that, he went for 14 against Miller even though the pacer is one of the best in the business in the death overs. He admitted it was poor bowling that cost India the match.

However, he promised that India will bounce back in the four remaining matches. The 2nd of the five T20Is will take place on Sunday in Cuttack.

“We are aware that we didn’t bowl well in the first match. So we hope to improve, bowl well and level the series. We still have four matches to go, we have matches in hands to bounce back,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar said at the pre-match press conference on Saturday.

That is the reason, at Cuttack, the focus was on bowlers. Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh bowled longer spells during practice sessions. Arshdeep is likely to replace Harshal Patel for the 2nd T20.
