It took India 27 overs and 5 deliveries to get their first wicket as Arshdeep Singh struck in the 2nd IND vs SA ODI

India finally managed to get the first breakthrough in the last delivery of the 27th over in the 2nd IND vs SA ODI. A record breaking 100+ run partnership from Proteas openers Zorzi and Hendricks boosted South Africa to a great start in their run chase. The opening partnership is also the highest ever in the venue.

Arshdeep Singh managed to get Reeza Hendricks caught off the last delivery of the 27th over. Mukesh Kumar completed the catch comfortably as India breathed a sigh of relief, having broken the partnership. The Proteas are still cruising their way to victory in the 2nd ODI, with nine wickets in hand.

IND vs SA 2nd ODI

South Africa won the toss and opted to have a bowl first in the IND vs SA 2nd ODI. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad failed once again as he managed just four runs. Tilak Verma (10 runs) also departed quickly.

The Indian innings was then restored by skipper KL Rahul and Sai Sudarshan as both of them completed fine fifties with the bat. The likes of Rinku Singh (17 runs), Sanju Samson (12 runs) and Axar Patel (7 runs) got decent starts with the bat. However, none of them managed it to make a big score.
