After a crushing defeat in the opening Test in Centurion, Rohit Sharma-led Team India will be desperate to end their South African tour with a win in the second and final Test, starting on January 3 at Cape Town.
The Indian batters struggled against the pace and bounce of the Proteas pacers and it seems the visitors are likely to face the same challenge on the Newlands pitch.
Cricket journalist Subhayan Chakraborty shared the first look of the Cape Town pitch on Monday.
Similar to Centurion pitch, the Cape Town wicket also have a green layer which will assist the pacers to extract swing and bounce from the track.

However, spinner have also gotten some assists on Day 3 and 4 of the track in the past which might prompt Rohit Sharma to go for two spinners.
