IND vs SA 2nd Test: ‘Playing XI not finalised’ Rohit Sharma says ahead of Cape Town Test

IND vs SA 2nd Test: India Playing XI yet to finalised addresses Rohit Sharma on eve of Cape Town Test

Ahead of the IND vs SA 2nd Test, India’s Playing XI is yet to be decided. India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma addressed the media where he claimed that the entire team is ready for selection, but the team selection is yet to be done. Further he went on to opine that there is some inexperience in terms of the bowling unit.

“Look I have honestly not thought a lot (on team selection) though we have had a brief chat with the management and the coaching staff. We have not completely finalised out Playing XI. Everyone is available for selection as there are no injury concerns,” said Rohit Sharma in the pre match Press Conference.

“We will sit down in the evening and decide what is the right one. Having said that. But I still believe that we have some inexperience in bowling. But we have to show our trust in them. It happens to every team,” added Rohit.

Rohit also backed Prasidh Krishna who made his debut in the previous Test. “We all get nervous when you are playing your first game. I will still back the thought that he (Prasidh) has good ability to succeed at this level and this format.”

Team India were humiliated in the IND vs SA 1st Test. After the loss in the Boxing Day Test, Rohit Sharma and Co are eager to exact revenge.

India faces a daunting task when they will face the Proteas in the Newlands, Cape Town. The ground still remains a fortress that is yet to be breached by India. Previously, India have played a total of 6 Test matches, drawing twice and losing 4 matches.
