South Africa Cricket Team batter David Bedingham has revealed that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are his favourite Indian players. Ahead of the crucial IND vs SA 2nd Test, the Proteas went on to claim how he used to change his batting technique to copy Kohli after having a poor game.
From his childhood, David Bedingham has reckoned that he idolises Jacques Kallis and Herschelle Gibbs. Growing up over the years, he has copied the Protean greats to improve his batting. But when he fails, his fall back option is Virat Kohli. Bedingham went on to claim that he would change his technique copy Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma’s style.
“My two favourites among Indian players are Sharma and Kohli. I think when I was between 13-18, I was trying to mould my technique like theirs (Kallis and Gibbs) and when I had a bad game, I changed my technique to copy Kohli’s or try probably Sharma’s,” David Bedingham told PTI ahead of IND vs SA 2nd Test.
David Bedingham slammed a crucial 56 run knock in the IND vs SA 1st Test. Apart from his half-century his crucial partnership with Dean Elgar frustrated the Indians before the Proteas finally took away the game. The 29-year old displayed a wide array of shots to slam 7 fours and 2 sixes to notch up his fifty.
