Heavy security at the Barabati Stadium –
Ahead of the Second T20I, Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi informed that 3 DCPs, 7 Additional DCPs, 32 ACPs, 45 Inspectors, 277 SI/ASI, 21 Traffic Havildars, 92 Traffic Constables, 176 APR Constables, 43 Women Constables, 171 Homeguards and 186 Section Forces will be deployed to provide security during the match.
The Police Commissioner also informed that in case any cop is found watching the game without doing his/her duty will face disciplinary action.
Odisha Fire Service department also ready for the second T20I-
- Ahead of the match, Odisha Fire Service department has employed not less than 176 employees to carry the smooth passage of the contest.
- 117 Fireman have been employed in case any emergency situation arises during the match.
- 22 Leading Fireman and 20 Station officer will also keep a close eye on the situation if there arises a case of emergency.
- Apart from that 12 driver havildar are also employed for the second T20I in Cuttack.

Masks made compulsory –
- Ahead of the match every visitor to the stadium will have to mandatory wear face masks and those who violate the rule will be strictly penalized.
- The precautionary measure has been taken to ensure the safety of the fans amidst rising cases of Covid-19 in the country.
- Fans entering the premises of the stadium won’t be allowed to enter the stadium unless they wear mask.
- If a fan is found violating the state government’s guidelines for Covid-19, they will be obliged to financial penalties.
Both teams Ready for the challenge –
Both India and South Africa will be poised to make their mark in the second T20I. India are trailing 1-0 in the five-match t20I series while the Proteas will be ready to stamp their authority on the series if they clinch the second T20I. Both teams are expected to go with the same team and have already arrived in the host city ahead of the Sunday’s contest.
- According to sources, the Indian team will have its net practice session between 1 PM and 4 PM on Saturday
- While the Proteas will have their net sessions scheduled from 5 PM to 8 PM on the same day.
