IND vs SA 1st T20 – Bavuma fears Jasprit Bumrah: Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in world cricket. He has the unique ability to take wickets with the new ball as well as the slog overs. The same has been witnessed over the years, and one can expect it to continue in the India vs South Africa T20 series. Proteas captain Temba Bavuma applauded the class of India pacer ahead of the series. The 1st T20 is scheduled for Wednesday in Thiruvananthapuram. The praise was not only reserved for Bumrah, but for other Indian bowlers as well. He believes that the Indian bowlers tend to swing ball more. Surprisingly, he felt that the new ball swings more in India. “It is quite challenging to face India opening bowlers. They get the ball to move and swing in the powerplay, more than what we are used to in South Africa,” said Bavuma in a press conference.
“With the new ball, it is a challenge that we have to maneuver around. The key is to limit the damage, not allow wickets to fall and get momentum. But, facing new ball bowlers like Jasprit bumrah is a challenge.”
However, India bowlers have been found wanting in the last few series, including the Asia Cup and against Australia. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel have failed of late, especially in the slog over. It is a surprise considering the duo were good at the death previously.

Now, the pressure is more on Bumrah, who needs to shoulder responsibility. With no Bhuvneshwar, who is at the NCA currently, it is either going to be Arshdeep Singh or Deepak Chahar in the Playing XI.
Make no mistake, South Africa batters have it in them to strike big against India. The likes of David Miller, Bavuma and Quinton de Kock have enough talent and skills to help the visitors get on top.
