Kohli took a family vacation to Paris and some of his pics in the European nation also went viral on the social media. During his break, the batter kept himself away from the game.

He even made a bigger revelation, stating that he was somewhat faking his intensity recently. This comes as a massive surprise for the player has always been known for his intensity, which pumps up everyone, including his team mates and fans at the stadium.

“For the first time in the last  10 years, I did not touch my cricket bat for a month. I came to realisation that I was trying to fake my intensity a bit recently, like I can do it and you are competitive. I was convincing myself that no, you had the intensity. But your body was telling you to stop. The mind was telling me to take a break and step back,” Kohli told Star Sports.

It is no rocket science, Kohli is undergoing one of the toughest phase in his career. Even experts, who praised him during his highs, have come down hard at him. Some even questioned him taking a break while he could have utilised the West Indies and the Zimbabwe series to come back to form.

“I’m not shy to admit that I was feeling mentally down. This is a very normal thing to feel, but we don’t speak because we are hesitant. We don’t want to be looked at as mentally weak. Trust me, faking to be strong is far worse than admitting to be weak,” Kohli said.
