In a video doing the rounds on social media, a Pakistan fan pleaded KL Rahul and MS Dhoni to let the Men in Green win in Dubai when they lock horns with India in Dubai. Pakistan have never beaten India in the T20 World Cup previously, and the fan asked KL Rahul to “not perform” in the match, to which the Indian opener simply gave a sarcastic wave back.
MS Dhoni, who is with the team as a mentor, was also made the same request, to which the former Indian captain had an epic response. Dhoni fired back saying, “Humara kaam hi aisa hai, ab toh retire hone waala hu.” He then made a gesture by rubbing his beard in a playful banter with the fans who watched from distance, with the Indian team being in a bio-bubble. Fans are doing their bit in the build-up to the India vs Pakistan match, and another fan from Birmingham pleaded with her team to not come back empty-handed on Sunday. Nabeeha Khan in a video clip that has gone viral, was seen addressing the Pakistan team, saying, “We forgive all your past mistakes. In the warm up match, you gave away 50 runs in the last three overs and lost. That, too, is forgiven. But if you make a mistake on Sunday, it won’t be a mistake, it will be a sin. It will be a murder of our emotions. Our hearts will shatter.”
