IND vs PAK LIVE – Mohammad Shami has got the approval of India skipper Rohit Sharma. In India’s second practice session at MCG on Saturday, Shami was steaming in and bowling to the likes of Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik. He beat the wicketkeeper-batter to which the India skipper lavished praise on the bowler and said, “He is a dangerous bowler.” By the looks of Shami’s hostile spell of bowling, it seems he is ready for blockbuster India vs Pakistan clash on Sunday (October 23). IND vs PAK LIVE: Rohit Sharma gets himself Mic’d up in the NETS, Watch him admitting ‘Mohammad Shami most dangerous bowler’: CHECK OUT
IND vs PAK Live: Mohammad Shami gets the backing of skipper Rohit Sharma says, “He is very much ready”
- Shami has got the backing of skipper Rohit Sharma. The India skipper was initially skeptical about his fitness, but that practice session and his super last over against Australia seems to seal the deal for him.
- The fast bowler also has humongous experience and has played in Australian conditions before.
- Although Shami has not played a T20I match for India since T20 World Cup 2021, Rohit feels he is a seasoned campaigner.
- The veteran also hits hard lengths, which can prove to be handy Down Under.
“Shami has got so much experience, he has played World Cup before. When Bumrah got injured, we wanted to have some experience. We are sure he will not be sure of match practice. He is very much ready,” Rohit said.
IND vs PAK Live: Tom Moody picks Shami over Harshal Patel
Apart from skipper Rohit Sharma, former Australia all-rounder, Tom Moody has also chosen Shami over Harshal Patel. Moody believes under pressure situations Shami can keep his cool like the last over he bowled against Australia in the warm-up game.
“I’d be going with Shami. I’d just go with his experience. Obviously, Bhuvi and Arshdeep are the first two. I just think that in big tournaments, you back big players. And he’s a big player with a lot of experience. He may be short with some volume in his bowling, but that one over he bowled against Australia would have gone a long way with regards to not so much the physical side of things, but the mental side of things,” Moody said to Star Sports.
