Thus, these mural artists have left no stone unturned in giving India a warm welcome. According to a report by Times Now, Kohli, Sharma and Pandya were also invited for a photo session. However, taking into account their busy schedule, it is highly unlikely that they will be able to physically see their murals anytime soon. Nevertheless, the Indian fans loved the gesture, and showered their love for the same on social media. In the meanwhile, India are set to face Pakistan in their opening game of the ICC T20 WC at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). This will be the fourth match of the Super 12s.

The hype around this game is well and truly justified as it promises to be an absolute cracker of a contest. The last time these two Asian teams faced each other during the previous edition in 2021, Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets and scripted history. However, India would want to turn the tables this time around and start their campaign on a positive note. Besides, they have been in superb form coming into the ICC tournament. After winning a three-match T20I against Australia and South Africa at home, the 2007-T20 WC champions also beat Australia in a practice game.

Having said that, the Babar Azam-led side have been fairly decent in the recent past as well. They recently won the tri-series which was held in New Zealand. However, their practice match against England didn’t go too well as the Jos Buttler-led side beat them rather comfortably. Nevertheless, Pakistan still looks like a strong side on paper, and are seemingly geared up for the mega-battle against India.
