Suryakumar Yadav is No.1 Threat says Babar Azam
Ahead of the mega clash on Sunday, Babar Azam spoke to the press and sureprsigngly he was not afraid of Rohit Sharma, Kl Rahul or Virat Kohli, instead Suryakumar Yadav is the main threat.
“Surya is a very good player. We have been discussing him in team meetings. We will have a very counter to tackle him,” said Babar Azam on the eve.
India are expected to use Suryakumar Yadav as a middle-order threat after Kl Rahul returned back to the fold for team India.
Earlier former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram also spoke about the talented batter and said, “Of course, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are there, but one of my favourite players these days, in this shorter format is Suryakumar Yadav.
“He has been phenomenal. I saw him the first year when he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders and he played a couple of games batting at No. 7 and 8.
And a couple of shots he played – the one that he picks from the middle of his bat towards fine leg – that’s an unusual and difficult shot to muster,” said Wasim Akram as both teams gear-up for the contest.

In 23 T20I matches, Suryakumar has smashed 672 runs at an average of 37.33 with five fifties and a recent hundred – 117 in a closely-fought match against England at The Oval. India will be starting its Asia Cup campaign with a high-octane clash against Pakistan on August 28.

Players Gear-up for IND vs PAK
Taking note of India’s aggressive approach in T20Is, Pakistan have ramped up their efforts in training ahead of the India vs Pakistan match. Skipper Babar Azam and Mohammed Rikzwan were seen taking practice in the nets alongside the others in the batting order.
Pakistan batsmen were seen practicing their big hits in the nets on the eve of their match against India. Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan, known to take their time at the top of the order, opted for an all-out approach, taking the attack to spinners Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan.
