Umran Malik made heads turn in Auckland on his ODI debut on Friday. The fast bowler showcased his raw pace troubling the Kiwi batsmen in his first spell. The 23-year-old bowled consistently above the 140kmph mark and struck twice, dismissing Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell.
He did eventually breach the 150 kmph mark repeatedly, with the fastest at 153kmph. Umran continued his rivalry with Lockie Ferguson, with both bowlers going toe to toe for pace in the IPL as well. Lockie once again trumped bowling 153.4kmph at the Eden Park.
