Rohit Sharma dropped on the first ball: Rohit Sharma came to bat at number 03 in the third over after Trent Boult removed Ishan Kishan cheaply at 4. Trent Boult then bowled it short and Rohit Sharma couldn’t control his urge to play the pull/hook shot, and holed it straight to Adam Milne at fine leg who could have taken it around his ankle. However, Milne failed to grab the ball and it spilled out of his hands.

Cheering for Rohit Sharma and team India from the stands, Ritika Sajdeh too got a little scare as she watch Rohit Sharma being fortunate at the very first ball. Check out her reaction –

Earlier, the toss didn’t go as planned for Virat Kohli as Kane Williamson won the toss and asked India to bat first. India made two changes to the side that lost to Pakistan. Suryakumar Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar go out, Ishan Kishan and Shardul Thakur come in. For Kiwis, Adam Milne comes in.

India also did a change in its batting order as Rohit Sharma was sent at number 03 while Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul opened the innings. The change, however, didn’t work for Virat Kohli & Co. as New Zealand pace spearhead Trent Boult removed Ishan Kishan cheaply in the third over.
