IND vs NZ LIVE: Hardik Pandya eyes whitewash over Kiwis

With most of the senior players rested for the T20I series, Hardik Pandya is set to lead a young team to conquer New Zealand. The all-rounder had lead the team against the Kiwis when India touredNew Zealand right after T20 World Cup.  The Men in Blue  went onto beat the Kiwis in their own backyard.

Ahead of the match, Team India suffered a big blow with Ruturaj Gaikwad suffering wrist injury.  Prithvi Shaw who is making his comeback would want to make the opportunity count. New Zealand are looking for redemption after ODI whitewash. Mitchell Santner will take over the captaincy from Tom Latham, who had led in the ODIs.

Under Santner, New Zealand have eight wins, one loss and one no-result in ten T20Is. The seven of those 10 wins came against Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands. The all-rounder will be hoping to turn the teams fortune around and end the tour with a series victory.  After the Ranchi T20I both the teams will travel to Lucknow and Ahmedabad for the last two games that will be played on January 29 and February 1, respectively
