Aman Agarwal took to his official Twitter handle and shared an image of himself in his wedding attire. “I asked for the 71st century but he scored 74th on my special day,” read the caption. Aman has shared a collage where on one side he was seen holding the ‘I Will Not Get Married Till Virat Kohli Scores his 71st’ placard. On the other side, there is a picture of him wearing a wedding sherwani, in front of his TV.
Kohli’s 70th century came against Bangladesh in a day-night Test in Kolkata in November 2019. The entire cricket fraternity, let alone the Indian cricket fans, was waiting for Kohli’s 71st and it finally came in September 2022 against Afghanistan in an Asia Cup T20 match. It was also the star cricketer’s first T20I hundred and an international century after 1020 days.
Staying true to his words, Kohli’s fan Aman tied the knot only after the former captain ended the drought for the international hundred. And the star cricketer made his wedding day more special as he hit his 74th international hundred on the day.
