Rohit Sharma got off to a cautious start, taking just two off Trent Boult’s opening over as the ball swung around a bit. However, when the left-arm pacer returned for his second over, the Hit-Man was well settled and tore into him along with KL Rahul to bag 21 runs from the over. Sharma hit consecutive boundaries before launching one into the stands to nullify Boult’s threat and give India a commanding start.

Rohit Sharma’s knock helped India cut down on their chase. After stitching a 50 partnership with KL Rahul at the top, the Indian captain, stitched another 59-run sojourn with Mumbai Indians teammate Suryakumar Yadav. India did make a meal of the chase, but eventually got over the line with Rishabh Pant scoring the winning runs.
