When asked what they discussed and if any advice was given, Pandya responded that the two like to talk about life.
He and the two-time world cup winning skipper have a close relationship.

“Mahi bhai is here which is good as we get to meet him. We can get out of the hotel also (to meet him). Otherwise, the way we have played in the last one month, it has just been hotel to hotel,” Pandya said.
“And when we meet we try to talk about life rather than the game. When we played together I learnt a lot from him. I have squeezed a lot out of him (knowledge)… there is not much left,” he added.

Pandya will captain the Indian T20I team against New Zealand during the three-match series, which starts on Friday.
The third ODI between India and New Zealand in Indore featured the 29-year-most old bowling with the new ball, and he picked up a wicket in the very first over. Same will be expected from the Gujarat Titans skipper when he comes on the field in Ranchi today.
