Both want Dhoni to play an active role in a must-win match for Virat Kohli & Co against the Blackcaps. “For me, a lot will rest on MS Dhoni and his experience. He is the most seasoned head in that dressing room. He can guide Virat Kohli on how to play crunch situations,” Gambhir wrote in his column for The Times of India.

“I don’t know how the roles are divided between Dhoni and coach Ravi Shastri but it will be crucial if the former is in Virat’s ears. I am not suggesting a crash course in tactics for Virat but it will be good if Dhoni is more hands-on for today’s game,” he added.
Harbhajan Singh also has similar advice from Virat Kohli. He wants Kohli to follow Dhoni’s tactics of building pressure.

“T20s is such a format where if you don’t take wickets, you’ll keep getting further away from the game. For that, the pressure will have to be created in the field setting like MS Dhoni does when he captains CSK,” Harbhajan Singh said.
