IND vs NZ Live: Virat Kohli & Co had a disappointing outing, especially with the bat, against New Zealand in their second game in Dubai on Sunday. Every cricket fan expected a better performance from the Men in Blue especially after the way they lost their tournament opener against arch-rivals Pakistan. However, it turned out to be another off day at the office for Virat Kohli & Co who once again failed to get off to a solid start. Barring Hardik Pandya’s 23 off 24 and Ravindra Jadeja’s 26* off 19, India’s top-order failed once again as they could only set a 111-run target for New Zealand. Fans soon took to social media to show their disappointments. Check out – Follow InsideSport.in for more T20 World Cup live updates.

Two defeats in a row: India’s semi-final hopes took a big hit on Sunday when Kane Williamson’s New Zealand registered a comprehensive eight wickets win over Virat Kohli & Co. With two defeats in two games, India is yet to open the account in the ongoing T20 World Cup and the chances of making it to the next round are bleak.

Apart from cricket fans, even former cricket players including the likes of Wasim Jaffer, Michael Vaughan and Shoaib Akhtar too reacted to India’s dismal performance. While some were surprised with India’s performance, others just couldn’t believe India’s strategy and batting order.

Murali Karthik was shocked with Rohit Sharma being dropped as an opener: Speaking on air for the official broadcasters, former India spinner Murali Karthik said he was surprised by Rohit Sharma not opening the batting for India against New Zealand on Sunday.
“Just a touch surprised that his (Ishan’s) opening partner is not Rohit Sharma for me. I actually am taken aback because of the fact he has been a great white-ball player. Yes, KL Rahul, he has been in the form of his life, maybe he would have had to make that adjustment and bat at No. 4,” Karthik said.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan even made fun of Indian batting by asking them ‘if they are playing 2010 Cricket?’

In any big tournament you can’t change the playing 11 in just one game and get desired results. Players need stability And I’m surprised this is happening with some big names taking decisions. #ind
