After he got selected, Prithvi got congratulations from all around the internet. The Mumbai batter even took to his Instagram to show his gratefulness, He reposted many stories.
Things haven’t been easy for Shaw, who was omitted from the India team about two years ago. He did, however, increase his chances of being called up to the Indian team for the upcoming New Zealand and Australia series by hitting a first triple century in the Ranji Trophy.
On day two of the four-day group encounter against Assam, the 23-year-old Mumbai right-hand batter hit 379 off 382 balls, the second-highest individual score in the domestic circuit.
Shaw has played for India in five Tests, six ODIs, and one Twenty20, however his last appearance for India came in July 2021 against Sri Lanka.
The 2018 Under-19 World Cup champion India captain made his Test debut against the West Indies, scoring a century to become the nation’s youngest Test century-scorer.

He played his final Test against Australia in 2020, scoring a duck and four runs in the opening match in Adelaide. He did not participate in the rest of India’s 2-1 victory in the series.
