After managing to fend off 23 deliveries, the tailender finally managed to get off the mark. Akash’s single got the Pune crowd enthusiastic and they responded with a standing ovation, using the rare opportunity to celebrate so far on Day 3.

However, Akash Deep’s innings came to an end right after he got off the mark. The tailender attempted a big hit and found Rachin Ravindra’s hands instead.
