IND vs IRE: India vs Ireland Live Updates – They might not be the favourites against India, but the upcoming two-match T20I series will serve as a great platform for the Irish players to showcase their talent to the world. They have selected a few big Indian names to target, and according to all-rounder Mark Adair, the focus will be on not allowing Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik and Sanju Samson to wreak havoc. Follow IND vs IRE live updates, India vs Ireland live updates on InsideSport.IN.

Speaking to Sony Sports ahead of the first T20I, Adair said “You look at guys like Hardik Pandya, and Sanju Samson, they bat very differently and they bat at very different places, extremely destructive. Dinesh Karthik is in great form. But look, cricket is a game that is played in one day. It’s not played in the past ten days or past three weeks or past three months. If you don’t show up on that day, it going to be a bad day. That is how it’s going to be.”

Notably, India and Ireland will cross paths for the first match of the series today, June 26, at The Village in Dublin. Ireland have pulled off victories against some of the biggest teams in the world previously, including neighbours England, and beating India would mean the addition of another glittering feather to their cap.

However, as Adair rightfully said, the trio of Pandya, Samson and Karthik could prove to be incredibly hard to stop. Karthik and Pandya did well in the recently-concluded T20I series against South Africa, while Samson was in fabulous touch in IPL 2022.

On being asked about how Ireland’s preparations have been “Our preparation for each of these teams is individual to those teams. But look we are going to treat India like we did West Indies or South Africa or England. Although it is fantastic to see India come over to us, our preparations don’t really change.”

India squad for Ireland: Hardik Pandya (C), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (vc), Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, R Bishnoi, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik.
