IND vs ENG: Chopra defends Virat Kohli

In a video in his YouTube channel, Chopra says that Kohli is not obligated to reveal the reason for his absence. The former cricketer opines that the ex-skipper would spill the beans on his absence when he feels comfortable. He adds that there are certain boundaries which should be respected.

Despite missing the first two Tests, Kohli hasn’t communicated his return date to the board or selectors.

A BCCI official confirmed this to Indian Express, stating, “Virat will decide when he wants to make a comeback. He hasn’t informed us till now, but whenever he decides to play, he will be included in the team.”
