Sarfaraz Khan has been a beast in the domestic circuit for India. Despite his sensational form, Sarfaraz is yet to get his chance in the India Cricket Team setup. But with Virat Kohli missing out the first 2 Tests of the IND vs ENG Test series, Sarfaraz Khan is in a prime spot to earn his India Team call-up. However, He himself was not present to pick the award, in fact it was his father to received it on his son’s behalf.
At the BCCI Awards Ceremony, Sarfaraz Khan bagged the Madhavrao Scindia Award for being the highest run getter in Ranji trophy for 2021-22 season for Mumbai. But
The man who has been trying to impress Rahul Dravid for so long could not be there. Instead, it was his father, who has handled every question thrown at him, was the one to receive the award from the same man. Rahul Dravid will be heavily involved in taking a call on whether Sarfaraz Khan will be a replacement for Virat Kohli.

While presenting the award, the host for the show Harsha Bhogle made a passing comment. He mentioned Sarfaraz’s younger brother, Musheer Khan is currently in South Africa playing for India in the U19 World Cup.
The BCCI Selection Committee is yet to name Virat Kohli’s substitute and thus it remains to be seen as to who gets the vacant spot. But for Sarfaraz, things are looking good for the 26-year-old batter.
