IND vs ENG Test: Kevin Pietersen rues on missed opportunity to use James Anderson in Hyderabad

IND vs ENG Test: Kevin Pietersen slams England for bowling failure, questions not using James Andersen in Hyderabad

After batting, England Cricket Team’s bowling woes continue. Team India continues to hammer the visitors in the IND vs ENG Test Series. Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen claimed that England made a poor call by not picking veteran pacer James Anderson.

Kevin Pietersen went on to claim that given the condition of the pitch, Anderson wouldn’t have gone more big runs. James Anderson found himself on the bench, as England proceeded to go with a lone pacer in form of Mark Wood.

“I don’t think Anderson would have gone for many runs on this surface. He would have got the ball reverse swinging, bowled wicket to wicket,” Kevin Pietersen said on JioCinema.

England’s bowling has been anything but poor. Aakash Chopra slammed the English spinners the other day claiming them to be ordinary. Pietersen claimed England needed a bowler who could hold the game in trying conditions of the game.

“He can bowl with control and has aura when he walks on the cricket field. You need one bowler, at least, in trying conditions to hold the game,” Pietersen added.

England have managed to scalp 5 wickets till tea on Day 2 of the game. Mark Wood managed to bowl only 9 overs while the Three Lions relied heavily on their 4 spinners to roll their arms.
