Selectors move on from Ishan Kishan, call Dhruv Jurel as third backup wicketkeeping option

The BCCI selection committee have called up youngster Dhruv Jurel as a third back-up wicketkeeping option for first two IND vs ENG Tests.

It seems the selectors have moved on from Ishan Kishan as the young wicketkeeper has been left out of the first two IND vs ENG Tests, starting on January 25.

Ishan Kishan was reportedly advised by head coach Rahul Dravid and selectors to return to the domestic circuit for Ranji Trophy 2024 to prove his match fitness. However, the 25-year-old hasn’t join the Jharkhand squad yet.

With the star not being named for the IND vs AFG T20Is, and now in first two Tests, it seems the selectors have decided to look for other options.
