India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja achieved a rare feat on Friday as he became the 15th Indian batter to score 1000 Test runs against England. He reached the landmark during his 112-run knock on Day 2 of the IND vs ENG third Test in Rajkot.
Jadeja, who resumed his innings at 110 on second day, added two more runs before he was dismissed by all-rounder Joe Root. Jadeja scored 112 off 225 balls, hitting nine fours and two sixes.
Jadeja went past former India captain Sourav Ganguly to become 15th Indian to score 1000 or more runs against England.
The star all-rounder joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag in the list.

Jadeja came at the crease when India were reeling at 33/3 and then former a solid 204-run partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma to make it India’s day at his home ground.
However, the all-rounder couldn’t get out of his shell on the second day and gifted his wicket to Joe Root while trying to go for a big shot.
