IND vs ENG 4th Test: Talk about taking a perfect review! Ashwin and Rohit pulls off stunning DRS call to oust Joe Root

Ravichandran Ashwin has wreaked havoc on Day 3 of the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test. India trailed by 46 runs after their innings, but Ashwin came back strongly to scalp a quick three-fer. The best of the lot? a wonderful DRS call to dismiss Joe Root. Rohit Sharma too had a big role to play in the review. He believed on his bowler to the take the call which worked brilliantly in their favour.

Ravi Ashwin has been a terror for the Three Lions in the second innings. He dispatched Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope. And then got the big prize of 1st innings centurion Joe Root.

Sri Lankan umpire Kumar Dharmasena has been spot on his with decision. But brimming with confidence, Ashwin knew that it was an lbw. He immediately asked Rohit Sharma to take the review. Young keeper Dhruv Jurel too had his fair share in helping Rohit convince his mind. Finally the Indian skipper took the review to and were duly rewarded.

Joe Root Dismissal

A perfect deceiving delivery was required to dismiss Joe Root. The ball kept going low as Root played his shot but misses the ball completely. A loud shout for LBW from the Indians, bit the umpire remains unmoved. Ashwin and Rohit joins in a conversation and the Indian skipper takes the review.

No contact with the bat as shown by the ultra-edge. The hawkeye shows the ball pitched in line, and the ball hitting the stumps. Three reds and review works in favour of India. A frustrated Joe Root has to depart. With the decision overturned, a young 37-year-old Ashwin jumps in joy.
