IND vs ENG – Mohammed Siraj Abused: The ongoing third Test between India and England at Headingley, Leeds, saw an incident of sledging, this time between Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj and the in-stadium English spectators.

Having faced racial abuse in Australia, India’s new pace sensation Mohammed Siraj on Wednesday had spectators “throwing a ball at him” while fielding at the boundary line, as revealed by teammate Rishabh Pant at the end of first day’s play in the third Test against England. The TV cameras showed an angry Kohli asking Siraj stationed at boundary to throw the object out.

IND vs ENG – Mohammed Siraj Abused: The aggressive Indian bowler replied in an epic manner to silence the crowd who tried to tease him by inquiring about the score after England had amassed hundred odd runs on day one of the match.

IND vs ENG – Mohammed Siraj Abused, the entire incident explained: The incident happened around the 39th over when someone from the crowd had thrown a pink plastic ball close to Siraj at the boundary. Siraj turned around to the spectators and gestured that India are leading the series 1-0.

As the unpleasant incident happened on the field, Virat Kohli spoke to the umpire regarding the same.

Later, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant expressed disdain for the crowd’s poor act. Pant said, “Someone threw a ball at Siraj. So, Virat was upset. You can say whatever you want to say but throwing something at a fielder isn’t good.

IND vs ENG: India vs England Day 1 synopsis 

Day 1 of the 3rd Test belonged to England. Joe Root & Co dominated with the ball, bowling India out for a paltry 78-run total while with the bat Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns smashed a half-century each to post 120 at stumps on Day 1 to take a 42-run lead against Virat Kohli’s India.

Virat Kohli’s decision to bat first proved to be a big failure as James Anderson rattled India early on. Within the 1st hour, the England veteran sent KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli back, leaving the visitors in deep trouble. While Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma carried on for a while, India had more humiliation left. Wickets fell like tenpins.
