Ind vs Eng 4th Test – India Wins Oval Test: Virat Kohli & Co beat England by 157 runs to break Oval jinx, take 2-1 lead in series – Virat Kohli & Co scripted yet another famous victory. They beat England by 157 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series and win a historic match at Oval after 50 years. Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur were the pick of the bowlers. Chasing 368 to win, England were finally bowled out for 210. The win also sent India to the top of World Test Championship Points Table. With 26 points and 54.17 percentage points, India pipped Pakistan to move to the top.

Ind vs Eng 4th Test – India Wins Oval Test: Earlier, Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns resumed the chase for England with 291 required on the final day. Shardul Thakur struck, sending Burns back. Soon, Dawid Malan’s run-out gave India another chance to come back. At lunch, England were 131/2, still needing 237 runs in 63 overs. India need 8 wickets in final two sessions.

Ind vs Eng 4th Test – India Wins Oval Test: But the final session belonged to India. England added just 79 runs and lost eight wickets. Joe Root was the lone fighter in the middle but Jasprit Bumrah’s magical spell and all the pacers bowling in tandem left no chance for the English team.

@18:35: WICKET! Ollie Pope’s short stay ends. Bumrah ends his wait for 100th Test wicket with a yorker, cleans up Pope’s stumps. India need 6 more wickets.

@18:30: Ollie Pope comes in. He will have not enough time to settle.

@17:31: Lunch: India came back in the first session with two wickets but with Joe Root still on crease, it will not be easy. India need 8 wickets while England need 237 runs in 63 overs.

@17:15: Joe Root comes in. India’s target will be to get him out quickly and the match could be India’s.

@17:08: WICKET! Dawid Malan departs. An absolutely silly call from Haseeb Hameed and a good throw from Mayank was caught by Rishabh who made no mistake.

@17:04: Siraj comes into the attack. Can he get India a wicket?

@16:58: DRS! Jadeja’s delivery turns a lot hits Malan on the inner thigh. But the umpire isn’t interested. Kohli takes DRS and the review shows it was just high. It stays as umpire’s call.

@16:50: Malan survives a run-out scare. Malan wanted to take a single but Jadeja collided with his non-strike partner Haseeb Hameed. Siraj made a direct hit but Malan reached safely.

@16:40: DROPPED! Hameed tries to hammer Jadeja in the mid-on but gives a straight catch to Siraj, who spills it. A big setback for India.

@16:06: Shardul Thakur comes into attack, replaces Umesh Yadav. Burns’ leg glance goes for a 4 and he moves into 48.

@16:02: Ravindra Jadeja is warming up. A lot will depend on Jadeja today. He wasn’t very accurate on Day 4 and with no Ashwin in the side, he will have to play the key role and exploit the roughs.

@15:58: Half-an-hour has past in the 1st hour and the two England openers are still cautious and have scored only 15 runs so far.

@15:50: Bumrah has continued an excellent spell but cautious Burns and Hameed have tackled him well.

@21:06: Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara won’t be seen at the slip today. Rohit has suffered a discomfort in left knee while Pujara is still carrying a pain in his left ankle after suffering a sprain during the his 61-run knock.
