A picture of Rohit Sharma greeting the injured girl has gone viral on social media with fans in awe of the Indian captain’s gesture. Multiple accounts have claimed that the Hit-Man tended to the six-year-old child and offered her chocolates after she was struck by the ball Rohit for a six.

However, on further examination, it has been learnt that the picture was doctored. The original picture was that of England physio reaching out to the girl and her father from the sidelines. The other was of Rohit Sharma and Jos Buttler shaking hands following the IND vs ENG 1st ODI on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the England support staff have won over the internet with their prompt response to the situation. The game was halted and the medical staff tended to the injured child before resuming the action. Reportedly, England stars met her after the game and also gifted her an England jersey in an adorable gesture.
