- Root etched his name in the record books by becoming only the 14th Test player to score 10,000 runs.
- It is a massive feat considering the players play all three formats of the game. Although Root does not often play T20Is, he still is vital in the ODI format.
- Amongst the fab four, the former England captain is the first to enter the 10,000 club.
- ICC felt it is a special achievement and paid a rich tribute by presenting him with a silver bat.

IND vs ENG Live: Joe Root plays cricket with Paul Collingwood’s daughter – While off the field Root is managing to shatter one record after another, and off the field also he is winning hearts. The right-hand batter played cricket with Paul Collingwood’s daughter and made her day special. Collingwood’s daughter Keira also dismissed Root.
The former England captain was supportive and gave her a high five. Collingwood was simply bowled over by his gesture and termed him an inspirational figure for all youngsters.
