IND vs ENG LIVE: ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Fast bowler Mark Wood has added to England’s injury concerns ahead of the semi-finals on Thursday. Wood pulled out of the England training session in Adelaide on Tuesday owing to fitness concerns. The gun fast bowler has been in remarkable form for England in the T20 World Cup 202. His withdrawal from the training session rose injury concern in the England camp. But it is understood that the 32-year-old had pull out as a precautionary measure due to body stiffness.

However, it remains to seen, whether or not Wood returns to the England fold for the training session on Wednesday. The England management are closely monitoring his situation ahead of the big clash against India.

How has Mark Wood performed in T20 World Cup 2022?

Wood has troubled some of the top batters with his express pace at the T20 World Cup 2022. He has, moreover, consistently been among the wickets. The right-arm fast bowler has picked up nine scalps from four matches.

He has also set the record for the fastest delivery in the T20 World Cup 2022 at 154.74 kph besides setting the record for the fastest spell in white-ball cricket at 149.02kph (92.6mph). The historic spell came against Afghanistan in the Super 12 Group stage match as he went on to break West Indies’ Fidel Edwards long-standing record since 2009.

His presence for the semi-finals will be extremely crucial for England as he can trouble the in-form India top-order early on.
