IND vs ENG: Injury scare for India, Mohammed Siraj suffers knee injury while batting

Mohammed Siraj suffered a blow on his knee while batting during IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot on Friday.

The Indian team received an injury scare after pacer Mohammed Siraj suffered a blow on his knee while batting during the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot on Friday.

Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were building a crucial partnership for the tenth wicket when Siraj suffered a blow to his knee while attempting a sweep shot.

While earlier Siraj looked okay after a quick treatment from physio, he aggravated his injury in the next over while attempting a second run. The pacer looked in tremendous pain and called for the physio immediately.

However, the fast bowler continued to bat as the pace duo added 30 crucial runs for the team. England’s Mark Wood got the wicket of Jasprit Bumrah on 26 as India got bowled out for 445. Siraj remained unbeaten on 3.

It will be interesting to see if Siraj will return to field to share new ball with Jasprit Bumrah.
