If it was Kuldeep Yadav, who brought India back in the fourth Test with his bowling against England, it was Dhruv Jurel with the bat, who shone bright with the bat, to hand the team a series win. In the time of need, the wicket-keeper batsman came up with scores of 90 and 39, in crunch situations, when it mattered the most.
Even England skipper Ben Stokes was mighty impressed with the youngster, for coming up with performances that blew the opposition apart. Stokes also went on to joke about how Ben Foakes has a ‘man crush’ on Jurel.
“Both innings he’s played very well. His keeping was also something to watch – I think Ben Foakes has a little man crush on him there,” Stokes said at the post-match press conference.
In fact, with his mighty performances, Jurel became the fifth youngest in the world, and second youngest Indian keeper to win the Player of the Match Award.
