Ashwin’s journey to 100 Tests
The Tamil Nadu spinner made his Test debut in 2011 and has since become a regular in the Indian Test squad, particularly at home.
He surpassed Kumble as India’s highest wicket-taker in home Tests, while also breaking the 350-wicket milestone in Tests at home during the current series.
Ashwin has taken 507 wickets in 99 Tests, 156 in 116 ODIs, and 72 in 65 T20Is. In Tests, he averages 23.91 with the ball and has 35 five-wicket hauls and eight ten-wicket hauls.
