Why the relationship between two boards are strained?

ECB is upset on two accounts with BCCI.

The 1st being, that on Thursday during the crisis conversation BCCI suggested cancellation of test to protect the IPL 2021 Phase 2. ECB got upset with BCCI officials on this that they are priortizing IPL over bilateral commitmment & today the Indian players refused to take the field.

This led to the cancellation of the match.

ECB now stands to lose almost £30million (304 Crore) in broadcasting revenue and gate receipts from the full-houses expected at Old Trafford’s 21,500 capacity ground.

According to the information available – ECB told BCCI during one of the coversation that they would be liable for these loses.

BCCI on the other hand got upset over ECB, once they asked them to forefit the match on Thursday in case they are not ready to play. That would have left the series all square at 2-2 without players even setting foot on the Old Trafford outfield.

2nd Reason: ECB is very upset with BCCI and Indian team’s decision last week to flout Covid guidelines by attending a book launch in London just two days before the Oval test. According to ECB, the Covid-19 positive results in the Indian camp are largely due to this particular episoded.

Relations between the boards are strained now & on tenterhooks.

IND vs ENG LIVE: For BCCI & the players their is another big area of concern?

The biggest area of concern is who all from the Indian team came in contact with Indian physio Yogesh Parmar. Parmar’s positive result came after a round of testing on Wednesday evening and the big worry for India was that he had stepped up from assistant to be the team’s main physio after lead physio Nitin Patel was deemed a close contact of Shastri.

Who all were treated by Pramar during the period?

Parmar had treated a number of players including Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma both during the Oval Test and at Manchester.

Indian Players are now moved to a separate floor in the Manchester’s Radisson Hotel and into a bio-bubble. They will stay in the bubble until the Test is over and then reach the UAE for IPL 2021 via a Chartered Flight. The BCCI sources told InsideSport.co they are being monitored closely and will be tested on a daily basis till they board the chartered for IPL 2021 in UAE.
