IND vs ENG: 8000 runs in Test cricket

India captain Virat Kohli needs just 453 runs to complete 8000 runs in Test cricket. He has slammed 7547 runs in 92 Test matches with the help of 27 tons and 25 fifties. By doing so, he will overtake Justin Langer (7696), Ian Bell (7727), and Michael Atherton (7728).

2000 runs against England

Virat Kohli is just 211 runs away to complete 2000 runs against England in Test matches. He can overtake Rahul Dravid (1950) and join Alastair Cook, Sunil Gavaskar, and Sachin Tendulkar on the elite list.

IND vs ENG: Virender Sehwag

Virat Kohli needs a couple of fifties to overtake Virender Sehwag. The latter has slammed 54 half-centuries. Kohli needs 3 more fifties to enter the top 5 list among most fifties for India in Test cricket. He will join Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, VVS Laxman on elite list.

IND vs ENG: Most tons

The 33-year-old will also look to end his century drought that has bothered all the Indian fans over the past few months. He has last slammed a ton in November 2019. He can take over Steve Smith (27)- equal with Kohli, Hashim Amla, and Michael Clarke (both on 28) if he scores a couple of centuries.

IND vs ENG: Captaincy record

Virat Kohli can overtake Clive Lloyd as the duo has won 36 matches each. He has won 36 matches in 61 matches as compared to Lloyd’s 74 games. He will also become the skipper to India in most tests by overtaking MS Dhoni. The latter has represented India in 15 Tests while Kohli has led the team in 14 Tests so far. He can repeat Rahul Dravid’s heroics in 2007 where India defeated England 1-0 in the Test series. Only Dravid, Kapil Dev, and Ajit Wadekar have led India to Test series win in England.
