IND vs ENG 4th Test: Big chance of India Cricket Team to secure 17th consecutive home series win in IND vs ENG Ranchi Test

The stage is set for the IND vs ENG 4th Test in Ranchi. The hosts currently leads 2-1 and a win will be enough to secure the Test series win for Team India. On the other hand, England will be eyeing a strong comeback to level the series. While England prepares for triple change in bowling, India continues to contemplate using 4 spinners or not.

England took an early lead by winning the Hyderabad Test. But Team India roared back to secure wins in Vizag and Rajkot. At Ranchi it is a perfect opportunity for India to secure the series. India will be targeting 17th consecutive home series win. The last Test series India lost at home was in 2012 against England.

India are without star batter Virat Kohli. Apart from Kohli, the hosts will miss KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah for this upcoming Test match. KL Rahul is yet to regain 100% fitness and thus has been rested. On the other hand, vice captain Bumrah is also rested owing to workload management.

The spin friendly pitch conditions in Ranchi can prompt India to start with 4 spinners. On the other hands, reports claim that India might give a 4th Debut in this series. Bengal bowler Akash Deep is expected to be rewarded with a Test debut after his Ranji Trophy exploits.

Should India opt for 4 spinners, then it essentially means that India will go with Mohammed Siraj as the lead pacer. For England, there are 3 expected changes. However, the biggest news involves skipper Ben Stokes. There is a high probability that the Three Lions skipper might bowl in this Test match.

For the visitors, England will likely head into the match with a triple bowling change. Shoaib Bashir will come and replace Tom Hartley. Both Mark Wood and James Anderson will be rested. Ollie Robinson and Gus Atkinson will be the likely replacements.
