India stars featuring the likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah were missing from the 4th Test. Dhruv Jurel and Shubman Gill stood their ground to hand India a five-wicket win in Ranchi. The team went on to win the Test despite losing the toss to the visitors.

India held their nerves to register an emphatic win in the 4th Test at Ranchi. A sensational spell from Ashiwn and Kuldeep ensured India had their task cut short on Day 3. However, England fought back fiercely at the start of Day 4, grabbing five wickets.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (37) was the first to go on Day 4, with Joe Root striking. India skipper Rohit Sharma (55) raced to a half-century in the 1st session before he was dismissed by Hartley. Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan and Ravindra Jadeja perished for single-digit scores soon after.
