IND vs ENG 4th Test: India Cricket Team need 152 runs more to win series, Ravichandran Ashwin bags fifer to destroy England

The India Cricket Team more or less dominated Day 3 of the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test. Starting from the overnight score of 219/7, Dhruv Jurel put up a massive resilience with a heroic knock of 90 runs. In the second session, the Indian spinners turned up. Ravi Ashwin bagged a fifer as fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav bagged a four-fer. Tasked to chase 192, Rohit and Yashasvi started off well.

Dhruv Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav continued their battle. The duo continued punishing the visitors before Kuldeep and Akash Deep departed. But young Jurel continued to fight. He took charge of the innings and managed to reach 90 before being dismissed. Shoaib Bashir shone for England, managing his maiden Test fifer.

India didn’t allow England to settle in their second innings. Ravi Ashwin grabbed an early three wicket haul to topple England’s top order. Zac Crawly was the only batter who looked promising. He scored a 70-ball fifty before Kuldeep Yadav dispatched him on 60.

Bairstow tried to anchor the innings with a gritty 30, but Ravindra Jadeja scalped him on the very first ball post Tea. The rest of the batters fell like nine pins. Kuldeep Yadav was a class apart wreaking havoc with his four-fer. Ashwin came back later to pick 2 wickets and finish his fifer, his first in this Test series. England were bowled out for 145 as they posted a target of 192 for India to chase and win.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal started India’s innings on flying fashion. India are currently 40/0 and need 152 runs to win the game with all 10 wickets remaining in hand.
