Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on Saturday returned to the pavillion after scoring a century on the third day of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Make no mistake, no England bowler could get him out, but Jaiswal returned to the pavillion retired hurt. It was somewhat of an anti-climax to a well-articulated innings by Jaiswal. Jaiswal had injured his back during his century celebration on Day 3.

Jaiswal was batting at 104 when the problem occurred for the Indian opener. Jaiswal complained of back pain at time when 8 overs were left in the day.

The attractive left-handed opener was in scorching form, but his back pain got the better of him. He was given painkillers by the medical staff when they arrived, but it did not appear to be effective because he left the very next over.

Yashasvi gave India complete control of the Rajkot Test with his third century in the format. The Test is still a few days away, and the hosts lead by 322 runs. From an Indian perspective, everyone would hope that Jaiswal is well enough to continue tomorrow from where he left off. During his 133-ball stay on Day 3, he hit nine fours and five sixes. He took his time at first, but after tea he changed course.
