While hosts won the second Test by 317 runs, England emerged victorious in the opening Test by 277 runs. Both Kohli’s men and England are in the fray of the ICC Test Championship final, slated to be played in Lord’s later this year. Ahead of the action-packed encounter in Ahmedabad, here’s a look at how the two teams have fared in Day/Night (Pink-ball) Tests.
Team India’ Record in Pink-Ball Test Matches
India has played only two pink-ball Tests, one in India and another away from home (in Australia). They had lost the last pink-ball Test against Australia in December last year. Even though, Kohli and Co have won the only pink-ball Test played in India, they will be facing the mighty Englishmen. The latter would give a tough fight to India with the pink-ball. World-class pacers like James Anderson and Stuart Broad can make the job difficult for the batsmen.
