Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag on Saturday heaped praises on Yashasvi Jaiswal after the youngster slammed another century in the IND vs ENG series. Jaiswal was at his fluent best from the beginning on Saturday. He was specially aggressive against the English spinners, and Virender Sehwag said Yashasvi treated the spinners they way they ‘should be treated’.
Yashasvi has been in fine form in the IND vs ENG series. The southpaw had previously scored a double century in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. He followed it up with yet another century in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test.
Yashasvi started his innings on the third day with a slightly cautious approach. He scored his half-century in 79 balls and accelerated from there. He was especially aggressive towards the spinners, taking the likes of Tom Hartley on and hammering them for some big sixes. His sweeps and reverse sweeps were on point too, as he bought up his 100 in just 122 balls.
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took to social media to hail Yashasvi’s innings. Sehwag, who was famous for his aggressive approach while opening the batting for India, said Yashasvi’s treatment of the spinners was spot on.
“Back to back century for Yashasvi Jaiswal. Treating Spinners the way they should be treated. De dana dan,” Sehwag wrote on X (previously Twitter).
