All Indian captain Rohit Sharma hit back at critics with 11th Test ton in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Rohit played a brilliant knock of 131. All he needed was another 32 runs to achieve a rare feat. Had he added those runs to his tally, Rohit Sharma would have completed 1000 runs against England, becoming 17th Indian batter to do so. But he will now have to wait for another innings.
Rohit Sharma wasn’t at his best in the IND vs ENG series before Thursday. The Indian captain got out quickly in the first two Tests, and that raised a number of questions on his form and fitness. However, Rohit chose the first day of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot to silence his critics. The opening batter had his fair share of luck in his innings, but nothing can be taken away from his innings.
The batter completed his century in 157 balls. But he could not sustain the momentum as Rohit Sharma departed at 131 runs trying to play a pull shot off a short ball from Mark Wood.
