IND vs ENG 3rd Test on Rank turner? Kuldeep Yadav gives crucial hint on Rajkot pitch

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Ahead of India vs England Test, Kuldeep Yadav provides vital update on Rajkot Pitch

The IND vs ENG 3rd Test pitch at Rajkot remains to be a surprise. While the wicket remains spin friendly, questions remain whether it will be a rank turner or not. Ahead of the India vs England 3rd Test, ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav attended the Press Conference where he claimed that the pitch won’t be a rank turner.

India are levelled 1-1 in the ongoing 5 match Test series against the Three Lions. The hosts will bank heavily on their classy spinners to wreak havoc on their opponents. Rajkot traditionally has a flat pitch and it remains to be seen how the wicket behaves.

“It is not going to be a rank turner but will be a good wicket. I hope it helps the spinners who play,” said Kuldeep Yadav at the Pre Match Press Conference.

India usually prefers slow and turning pitches, but not rank turners. Too spin friendly tracks are like a double edged sword which can potentially cause more harm to the Indian team, compared to the visitors.

On the other hand, England batter Ollie Pope has claimed that the wicket can be tricky. The star batter also gave a hint that the visitors might opt for 2 seamers. “I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but at the minute there’s a little bit more grass on it. It looks a pretty good pitch,” Pope added.
